About Vimanmek Mansion
Vimanmek Mansion used to be a royal mansion in Bangkok that has now been converted in a museum. It was renovated by HM Queen Sirikit, and turned into a museum in the memory of late King Rama V. Several gifts and treasures that King Chulalongkorn collected on his Europe trip are now displayed in the museum. Antique furniture and old Thai glassware, porcelain and old photographs from the King’s reign are portrayed here. It is a unique blend of Victorian and Thai architecture. The interior of Vimanek showcases the neo-classical style with traditional Thai motifs and architecture. It is an advanced version of early 20th-century modernization. It is made up of Golden Teakwood which makes it one of the most attractive tourist places in the world. Dusit Garden outside the museum is a beautiful place to sit in the midst of nature. You can walk by the splashing waters on the smooth green carpet under your feet.
