About Bangkokian Museum
Bangkokian Museum is also known as BKK Museum or Bangkok Folk Museum. It is not very well known and thus, attracts less number of visitors as compared to other museums and palaces in Thailand. But being a simple discreet museum, its charm is pleasurable. Bangkokian Museum consists of two wooden houses preserved in perfect condition the way they were in the last century. The ground floor of the first house includes dining rooms, offices and a library.
On the first floor are the cute old-fashioned bedrooms where everything is all set in its place. A few steps behind the main building is the second house, built in the countryside. Upstairs here is the gallery of photos taken around Bangkok and Thailand in the past centuries. The cool breeze flowing through the windows keeps the two houses calm and comfortable without the need for a fan. Yes! Entry is free. You have to step in and write your name in the guest book.
