About Tapkeshwar Temple
Being located in the Garhi Cantonment Area, Tapkeshwar Temple is dedicated to Lord Shiva. Well maintained roads link this temple with Dehradun City. This temple is located in Damp Cave on the banks of seasonal river. Here Lord Shiva is worshipped in the form of “Linga” over which the water drips from the ceiling of cave. This water goes underground and re appears on the ground few yards from the cave. This provides magical moments to the tourists and devotees who pay a visit to this temple. On Shivratri, people participate in the festival organized in this temple.
