About Bombay Natural History Society
Bombay Natural History Museum, part of the Bombay Natural History Society, is one of the most enriching museums of India. Established in 1883, it preserves natural resources and also showcases some rare specimens of various insects, vertebrates, butterflies and mummified reptiles. It also carries out various scientific research works and ornithologists and naturalists from all over the country visit it. The conservation of scientific data is done in the most unadulterated way. Today it is one of the largest NGO’s in the subcontinent, involved in conservation of nature and natural resources.
Located on Bhagat Singh road in South Mumbai, it can be visited 6 days a week {Monday closed} anytime between 10:00 am to 5:00 pm.
