About National Centre for Performing Arts, Mumbai
NCPA, National Center for Performing Art, was established by J.R.D. Tata over a 3,20,000 square feet land in Nariman Point of Mumbai. Classical, traditional and contemporary performing and visual arts are researched and preserved in NCPA. There are libraries, museums, studios and a school for these kinds of arts. Jamshed Bhabha Theatre, 300 seat experimental theatre and Tata Theatre are major features of NCPA. The symphony Orchestra of India was established by NCPA in 2006. Nearly 40-50 events are conducted annually in NCPA. Memberships are available for Students and professionals.
