Day 1: Bangalore to Nagarhole Tiger Reserve

  • Departure from Bangalore early in the morning ensures that you beat the city's traffic and reach Nagarhole in good time. Nagarhole is approximately 220 kilometers away from Bangalore.
  • As you travel towards Nagarhole, you'll witness the transition from urban landscapes to rural countryside, offering glimpses of rural life in Karnataka.
  • Nagarhole Tiger Reserve is part of the Nilgiri Biosphere Reserve and is renowned for its lush forests, diverse wildlife, and picturesque landscapes.
  • Upon arrival at Nagarhole, you'll check into your chosen accommodation, which could be a jungle lodge or resort situated within or near the reserve.
  • After settling in and having lunch, you'll head out for your first safari. The safari usually lasts for about 3 hours, during which you'll explore the park's varied habitats, including dense forests, grassy plains, and serene water bodies, while keeping an eye out for the elusive big cats and other wildlife.

  • Upon reaching Bandipur, you'll check into your accommodation and have lunch.
  • In the afternoon, you'll set out for another thrilling safari in Bandipur National Park. Bandipur is known for its dense forests and high tiger population, offering excellent wildlife viewing opportunities.
  • After the safari, you'll return to your accommodation to unwind, have dinner, and perhaps indulge in some stargazing, surrounded by the sounds of the jungle.

Day 3: Bandipur to Mudumalai Tiger Reserve and Return to Bangalore

  • After breakfast and check-out, you'll head towards Mudumalai Tiger Reserve, located just a short drive away from Bandipur. Madumalai is approximately 30 kilometers away from Bandipur.

  • Your afternoon safari in Mudumalai offers the opportunity to encounter animals such as elephants, leopards, gaurs, and several species of birds.
