Lipton Seat and Dambatenne Tea Factory Tour

On this tour you get to explore the behind the scenes of tea manufacturing at the Dambatenne Tea Factory and also visit Lipton’s Seat, one of the most amazing viewpoint in the country. As the story goes Sir Thomas Lipton used to foresee his entire plantation from up here. The panoramic view of the entire Dambatenne Tea Estate and the surrounding hills is magnificent. From there you climb a 8km hike trail through lush greenery and reach the Dambatenne Tea Factory. Get into the tea estate and help the workers pick some tea leaves and get to know more about the process of tea manufacturing at the tea factory. Enjoy the view of the entire tea estate from up there with some hot tea and snacks.

Brief Itinerary:

• 7:00am - You will be picked up from your Hotel & transferred to Lipton's Seat by tuk-tuk.
• 8:45am - Arrive at Lipton's Seat. It is a panoramic overlooking destination in Sri Lanka. Handapanagala lake, Chandrika lake, Udawalwe lake, Wedihiti Kanda mountains, and also the Hambantota harbour located in the in the southern coastal area can be seen remarkably.
• 9:30am - Visit Dambetenna tea factory nearby. The Dambetenna longest tea factory in Sri Lanka has earned a reputation among the travellers and tourists as a place to be toured where they can learn about the tea making process.
• 12:00pm - Lunch will be served at an outside location with panoramic view.
• 2:00pm - Trip ends with drop back to your hotel
