2-Day Sigiriya & Dambulla Tour with Minneriya Jeep Safari

Brief Itinerary:

Day 1:

• 6:00am - You will be picked up from your hotel in Colombo, Negombo or Mount Lavinia and driven to Dambulla.
• 10:30am - Arrive in Dambulla and visit the Cave temple. This is one of the most impressive and well-preserved cave temples in Asia. This complex contains five caves with over 2000 sq.m of painted walls and ceilings. This emphasizes the artistic talents of the people lived in this small island.
• 1:00am - Check in to your hotel (own arrangement)
• 2:30pm - You will be driven to Minneriya National Park for the afternoon game drive. The park is a dry season feeding ground for the elephant population thus the national park is one of the best places in the country to see wild elephants, which are often present in huge numbers, and wading birds.
• 6:30pm - Arrive back to your hotel and enjoy a shower before your dinner at the main restaurant.
• 7:30pm - Enjoy your dinner and spend the overnight (own arrangement)

Day 2:

• 8:00am - After breakfast, you will be driven to visit Sigiriya Rock fortress. The 5th century Rock fortress of Sigiriya which as built by King Kashyapa is one of the Wonders of world and a UNESCO world heritage site. The Rock itself has its unique identity due to its shape. The irrigational technologies of water gardens & archeological technologies of the large lion carved at the entrance are precious as they are still existing.
• 11:30am - Arrive back to the hotel and refresh yourselves before leaving back to your hotel in Colombo, Negombo or Mount Lavinia
• 5:00pm - You will be dropped off in your hotel or any other location in the city.
