About Dubai Creek
A bustling stretch of saltwater sea, the Dubai Creek streams its way from the port on the Gulf to the Ras al Khor bird sanctuary on the desert edge of Dubai. Dozens of dhows sail across the water, painting the scenery with vibrant colors. The creek has a fine-looking promenade where old and young can stroll around in the evenings and nights. However, the creek is famed for the boat cruises which take visitors of a sightseeing tour of the city, past glittering skylines, under beautifully sculpted bridges to the Creekside gardens. Seaplane flights at the creek are obtainable to witness the gorgeous sunrise over the city.
Water taxis, popularly known as Abras are pleasant boat rides at cheap rates to reach the old town. The old town is always buzzing with popular souk markets, including the famous Gold Souk. For those who’d like to enjoy long hours on sea, taking a dinner cruise is a must. The boat sails along the dazzling city, while passengers enjoy a lavish dinner. The Creek is a lovely place to spend some quality time with friends and family, especially during cool evening hours.
