Kawal Tiger Reserve was a sanctuary until 2012, till the ever growing poaching was recognized in the area. There has been a high rate of spreading awareness regarding the decreasing numbers of tigers all around the world and hence the increasing fascination regarding these majestic creatures. However, Kawal reserve is still abundant with flora and fauna and has been greatly restored after the loss from poaching.

Kawal Tiger Reserve is located at Jannaram mandal of Adilabad district in Telangana. It is spread over an area of 893 km2 and consists of extremely rich Teak forests with dense pristine areas free of human disturbance. You can reach here by road- it’s 50 kilometers from Mancherial and 270 KMs from Hyderabad.
