About KBR National Park
Kasu Brahmananda Reddy alias KBR National Park is situated in the Jubilee Hills area of Hyderabad. Chiran Palace which sprawls over 24 acres of land comes within the KBR National Park area. Constructed in 1960, the palace was a gift from Prince Azam Jah to his son Prince Mukarram Jah. The entire Chiran palace complex includes Peacock Bungalow, Gol Bungalows, animal stables for elephants, horses and cattle, outhouses, wells etc. The area where the palace complex belongs was later declared as National park by the Central Government. So far 600 varieties of flora, 160 bird species and enormous reptiles and butterflies have been found in the KBR National Park.
Entry fee is Rs. 20 per head and it is open from 6am to 10am and from 4pm to 6 pm.
