Nagin Lake , Srinagar
About Nagin Lake
Kashmir's famous Dal Lake is actually an intricate network of inter-connected canals that connect four lakes – Gagribal, Bod Dal, Lokut Dal and Nagin Lak. A causeway divides Dal Lake from Nagin Lake, which lies at the foothills of the Zabarwan Mountain. It is flanked by Hari Parbat on its West and the Shankaracharya hill guards its south corner. It is more peaceful and serene than the noisier and more touristy Dal Lake. Consider staying on one of the houseboats on Nagin Lake and try spotting the variety of bird species, the tranquility of the surroundings and truly experience 'heaven on earth'.
