About Nandi Hills

The beautiful Nandi Hills or Nandi Betta or Nandi Durga, is a popular weekend getaway for the people of Bangalore. Situated in the Chickballapur district of Karnataka, it lies at about 60 KMs from Bangalore. Famous for its sunrise/sunset you can find a huge crowd from Bangalore here on weekends. The police doesnt allow visitors before the sunrise, but, you should go here to catch the sunrise. The view from the checkpost are stunning as well.

While returning from here you can plan to visit the Grover Vineyard which close by (approx.15-20km).

You can either hire a cab from Bangalore or ride you motor bike. The roads from Bangalore to here is like a runway.

Nandi is cyclist's paradise and you should ride here too. On a weekend/holiday expect to catch up with a lot of other cyclists as well.
