About Thiruvalluvar Statue
Thiruvalluvar was a famous Tamil poet. This statue, next to the Vivekananda Rock Memorial, was built in his memory. The statue is 133 feet tall and stands tall against the ocean. Made of stone and concrete, the statue was finished in the year 2000. The ferry service to the rock memorial also stops at this statue. The two memorials stand firm together.
