• Bandipur is considered as one of the best and best-maintained national park in India. Bandipur was established as a Tiger Reserve in 1974 under the Project Tiger initiative of the Indian Government. The Bandipur National Park covers about 880 sq. km. of area and is a vibrant habitat for over 100 species of animals, including tigers (of course), elephants, chitals, bison, sambhar, sloth bears, etc. This park is adjoined by Mudumalai National Park in Tamil Nadu and Wayanad Wildlife Sanctuary of Kerala, making this area the largest biosphere reserve in India. 

Bandipur 2-Day Tour from Bangalore City Itinerary

Day 1: Drive from Bangalore and reach Bandipur

• Departure from Bangalore. It's best to start early to avoid traffic and make the most of your day. The drive to Bandipur National Park is approximately 220 km and takes around 5–6 hours.
• Arrive in Bandipur and check into your hotel or resort.
• Lunch at the hotel/resort.
• Head out for an afternoon safari in Bandipur National Park. The safaris typically last for about 2–3 hours. This is a great time to spot wildlife, as animals tend to be more active during this time.
• Return from the safari and relax at your hotel. You can enjoy the facilities offered by the resort or take a walk around the property.
• Dinner at the hotel/resort.
• Relax and unwind. You can have a quiet evening, perhaps with some stargazing or reading up on the wildlife you might encounter the next day.

Day 2: Morning Safari and Return to Bangalore

• Early morning wake-up call for the morning safari. Early mornings are the best time to spot predators like tigers and leopards.
• Morning safari in Bandipur National Park. This safari also lasts for about 2–3 hours.
• Return to the hotel for breakfast.
• Check out of the hotel and start your return journey to Bangalore.
