Kudremukh Trek

Kudremukh is the heaven in South India blessed with lush green meadows everywhere the charismatic effect of the place remains forever insight. It surprises everyone with its beauty and also the third highest peak in Karnataka makes it challenging at the same time. An ideal place if you love nature and can’t resist being a tramp in the wild.

Located in Kudremukh National Park, it is considered as one of the most beautiful treks of South India and a definite must do experience for every trekker. Crossing 10 streams of water on our trail, Kudremukh is one experience that offers peace, beauty, calm, challenge, priceless views, green meadows, clouds kissing the peak, forests, jeep ride and a lot more which makes this journey a mental treasure.

BRIEF ITINERARY:

Day 0: ­ Pickup from Bangalore

Day 1: ­ Overnight journey till Balegal -­ 6kms Off­road jeep ride -­ Trek from Mullodi ­- Kudremukh Peak -­ Reach Base camp ­- Campfire

Day 2: ­ Base camp -­ Somavati River -­ Coffee Farms -­ Bangalore

ALTITUDE:        6,207ft, Kuduremukh is Karnataka's 3rd highest peak.
TRAIL TYPE:      Lush green meadows with zigzag inclined pathways and dense tropical rainforest trail.
DIFFICULTY:     Moderate, no prior trek experience required.
ATTRACTION:    The astonishing view of Arabian Sea can be see from Kudremukh National Park known for the ‘Global Tiger Conservation Priority-I’. Jamalabad Fort in Jamalabad village of Kudremukh by Tipu Sultan in 1794. Hanumana Gundi Waterfalls splash on the rocks from a height of more than 100 ft. are 32kms from Kalasa. Kadambi Waterfalls with a height of 30 ft. located inside the national park.
ADVISORY:         Trekking is only allowed between 6am to 5pm as Kudremukh National Park is a habitat for wildlife.
REGION:            Kudremukh Peak is located in Kudremukh National Park of Western Ghats.
