About Al Ain National Museum
Al Ain National Museum is the oldest one in Al Ain, showcasing the country’s 7500 old artefacts and excavated items of the place that takes one back to the Stone Age. The museum is categorized into three sections: archaeological, ethnographical and gift section. At the archaeological section, the history is set in stones. Items excavated from the nearby Hili gardens are displayed and some from Garn Bint Saud belongs to 1st millennium BC.
Coins unearthed from 4000 year old tombs at Al Hili and Umm Al Nar beckons an attention from every onlooker. The ethnographical part of the museum displays the life of the people and their cultures and their preliminary occupations before the discovery of oil. There you will find the utensils and other household utilities. Bedouin jewelries, musical instruments, weapons, pottery etc. In this competition of displays, silver ornaments and golden daggers win the maximum attention.
