Lodwick Point , Mahabaleshwar
About Lodwick Point
Lodwick Point was previously known as Sidney Point and is clustered between two deep ravines, giving a much tapered view of valley. But it is said that Pratapgad Fort and Elphinstone point can be excellently scrutinized from this position. It was named after British Colonel Lodwick who was the one of the first people along with his fellow soldiers to successfully hike till this place in April 1824. A 25 feet high column is put up near the point in the memory of Colonel Lodwick.
