Daringbadi is a small hill station situated at an altitude of 915 meters above sea level in Odisha state of India. Daringbadi is still an offbeat destination with much of area unexplored and inhabited by tribals.

Daringbadi offers a blend of panoramic green valleys, coffee estates, dense pine forest and plenty of places to visit. Locally Daringbadi is known as the "Kashmir of Odisha". Daringibadi lies in the Kandhamal district of Orissa. 

The other major attractions in Daringbadi including Doluri River, Putudi Waterfalls, Dasingbadi waterfalls, Badangia waterfalls, Dadubada Paradise, Kirikuti Picnic ground, Ludu waterfalls, Herbal garden Picnic ground, coffee plantation, black pepper and turmeric gardens, Duluri Picnic ground, Hill view Park, Nature Park, Herbal medicinal plants, Belghar Sanctuary, Kotagarh Sanctuary, and many more. Easiest way to reach Daringbadi is to book a private taxi from nearest location like Berhampur, Phulbani or Balliguda. 

The area around the Putudi Waterfall is perfect for picnicking. Belghar Sanctuary lies closer to Daringbadi hill station. This place is quick stopover to relax from hustles and bustles of the city. 

Spice plantations of black pepper and turmeric are another tourist place to visit in Daringbad. Other Daringbad attractions include Badangia waterfalls, Kirikuti Picnic ground, Ludu waterfalls,  Hill view Park,  and Kotgarh Wildlife Sanctuary in Baliguda.

Legend says that Daringbadi witnessed snowfall once and hence also called as “Kashmir of Odisha”. But this is not entirely true as it was dew on the grass turns into ice due to temperature plummeting to freezing point at night. Weather is pleasant throughout the year but peak winter months bring chilly mornings. Summer is also a good time to visit Daringbadi. 

The majority of the population is Christians here and there are over 200 churches around Daringbadi. Puri and Bhubaneswar are about 250 Kms while Berhampur is 125 Kms from Daringbadi. Daringbadi is very safe to travel and there is no known Naxalite activity here. 

Places to stay include decent hotels and many budget accommodations. Some home stays have also come-up recently. Phulbani Town nearby can also be a good option for overnight accommodation. Weather remains pleasant throughout the year. Places to visit nearby include Udayagiri and Khandagiri Caves.
