About AsirGarh Fort
The Asirgarh Fort is nestled in the Satpura Range, at a distance of about 20 kms from Burhanpur district in Madhya Pradesh. The Bastion has a road, which passes through the Satpuras connecting the valleys of the Narmada and Tapti rivers. The route was regarded as a crucial route and was termed as \"key to the Deccan\". It was considered during the Mughal era that Deccan started this point. As an Ahir of the Ahir dynasty had built the fort. The magnificent fort has been made out by using Stone, Limestone and Lead. The government of India undertakes the maintainece of the fort. The fort also houses the famous Sat Darwaza, which is a mosque and temple inside it.
