About Pawas
A tiny little village in the laps of Ratnagiri, Pawas never fails to allure travellers with its natural beauty. The true charm of the village, however, doesn't lie on any singular attraction but on the streets itself. Pawas is also considered sacred by many because of Swami Swaroopand's stay in the village several years back. In the premises of Swamiji’s temple, there is a meditation Room and a Lord Ganeshji’s idol carved onto Emlica tree. The place is famous for its natural beauty and tranquility.
Getting to the village isn't difficult, since it's easily accessible from both the bus stands and the railway station of Ratnagiri. The famour Samadhi mandir is visited by thousands of Maharashtrians every year. Apart from the religious relevance, Pawas is quite close to the beautiful Jaigad fort, which is long considered to be a place to unwind by the people of the district.
Pawas is located at a distance of 20 km from heart of Ratnagiri city.
