About Aurobindo Ashram
Sri Aurobindo Ashram (also known as Sri Aurobindo Niwas) was the erstwhile residence of Sri Aurobindo, the famous Indian freedom fighter, philosopher and yogi. He stayed in Vadodara from 1893-1906, working as a state servant. This house is preserved as a monument to his stay and is open for all. Visitors come to this Ashram to meditate and it also has a library and a sales outlet.
