About Chauragarh Peak
Chauragarh Peak is situated at an altitude of 1326 m; the peak is located between dense forests and valleys. The holy shrine of Lord Shiva called Chhota Mahadeo or Chauragarh Temple is situated at the top of the peak, which is visited by pilgrims with trishuls in their hands and to reach the zenith of the peak where the temple pilgrims have to climb 1250 stairs. The mountain streams tumble down the steep slopes to give rise to cascading waterfalls all along the way to the temple. This makes one believe in the fact that tranquility and Beauty reside where God resides.
