Sarkhej Roza is a mosque & mausoleum complex spanning over 70 acres & situated 10 KMs from Ahmedabad in Gujarat state, India.
The mosque is reputed to be "Ahmedabad's Acropolis", because twentieth century architect Le Corbusier's famously compared it to Acropolis of Athens. The mausoleum of Sufi saint Sheikh Ahmed Khattu has a huge dome and platform and is one of the most striking features of the whole complex. Sarkhej Roza was constructed from year 1451 to 1458 by Sultan Qutubuddin Ahmed Shah II.
