About Namakkal
Namakkal offers a blend of sightseeing places that would attract one and all. The first and foremost spot is the Kolli hills which is famous for its breathtaking views as well as the Arapaleeshwara temple dedicated to Lord Shiva. In the foothills is the famous Narasimaha temple and on top of the hill resides the Rock Fort which is house to the Anjenaya temple dedicated to Lord Hanuman. Other temples in Namakkal are Ardhanareeshwara temple, Koolippatti Murugan temple, Swami Venkatachalapathi temple and Muthugapatty Periya Swamy temple. In the close proximity of Arapaleeshwara is the Akaya Gangai Waterfalls which offers a grand view of the falls falling from a height of 300 feet.
