About Magnetic Observatory
- Magnetic Observatory is an interesting place to visit. It shares the reputation of being one of the primary observatories around the world and has been providing significant and incessant record of geomagnetic observations. The Indian navy , Air Stations of Indian Coast Guard and Pawanhans Helicopter Limited have their compasses calibrated at this observatory. The observatory also calibrates the magnetic instruments of the institute of geophysical research and Survey of India.
