About Bhimashankar Temple
Dating back to the 18th century the Bhimashankar Jyothirlinga Temple was built in the Nagara and Indo Aryan style of architecture. The temple has a wood framed door and entrance area which is beautifully carved and the main temple area is decorated with many carvings and symbolism associated with Lord Shiva. The temples also located at the source of the River Bhima which flows out from its grounds.
