Aga Khan Palace , Pune
About Aga Khan Palace
The Aga Khan Palace was built in 1892 by Sultan Muhammad Shah Agakhan the 3rd. It stands as a symbol of India’s freedom movement. For a number of reasons, the building has associations with freedom. As Pune was the largest stationment of British forces in India, it’s retained this symbolism. The complex is split into many rooms. Visitors should dedicate half a day if they wish to see everything. The film ‘Gandhi’ was shot here.
