About The Mall Road - Dalhousie
The Mall Road in Dalhousie is also known as Walkers paradise and true to its name, has a bunch of malls (level walks) around the city that were once meticulously planned and paved by the British. Though most are spacious and level with some extraordinary views to their sides, there are also some strenuous ones shooting off from main lanes, pulling us into the deep crevices of the forests that are filled with pines, cedars and various other shrubberies.
The level walk that starts from Subash Chowk and goes around Tehra hill (Moti Tibba), which is the center of the city and circles around the nearby Potrien hill to form a shape of 8 is more famous among the walkers. This road also has many hotels and amenities clogging them making it a convenient mall of all. Thandi Sarak is a beautiful spot in this path, where you can get an uninterrupted view of the sweeping valleys below and the sloping Pangi hills above blending in the horizon.
The malls in and around the hills which are well connected with bus and taxis are known for their panoramic views that usually lift the spirit of a tired walker.
