About Annual Dance Festival
Every January and February there is a dance festival in Mamallapuram. The festival espouses such local dance styles as Bharat Natyam, Kuchipudi, Kathak and Kathakali. It is an open air festival, performed next to Arjuna's penance by some of the most accomplished dancers in their fields.
