Tirunelveli, the most important district in Southern Tamil Nadu has enormous footfall of tourists from across the world. The twin cities Tirunelveli and Palayamkottai are separated by a river “Thamarabharani”. The city played major part in opposing British Raj in Tamil Nadu.
