Situated on the banks of river Kali, it is an aesthetic sea side town. During colonial times, Kawar got its name from Karwad as Britishers had difficulty in pronouncing it.

Karwar beach is just few minutes away from the most famous hang out place, Goa. This beach gives captivating experience with its golden sand and cool breeze.
