  • Abhaneri is a village in the Dausa district. It is a famous tourist destination, attracting a major tourist population from all over the world. The name Abhaneri was derived from Abhay Nagri, which means 'City of Brightness'. The city is now in ruins, but its glory is still intact. The beautiful architecture attracts visitors and enchants them; some of the most iconic ones include the Chand Baori, built by King Chand in the 9th century, and also the Harsha Mata Temple. The Chand Baori is one of the oldest and most iconic structures in all of Rajasthan. It was dedicated to the deity Harshat Mata, the goddess of joy and happiness.
