Detailed Overview

Alappuzha or commonly known as Alleppey is believed to be one of the oldest planned cities in the South Indian state of Kerela. It is the administrative headquarters of Alappuzha district. Alleppey has one the most beautiful backwaters of Kerela. It is the access point of the annual Nehru Trophy Boat Race or commonly known as Snake boat race, which happens on the second Saturday of August every year. The Mullackal chirap is also one of the attractions of Allapuzha which is the festive season held for ten days every year in December. The city of Alleppey is crisscrossed by a system of canals which are a part of National Waterway 3 (India). 

Itinerary

Day 1:

• We will be reporting to one the given location at 11:30 -Punnamada jetty, Muhamma Jetty or Thanneermukkam Jetty (as per your convenience and start location)
• We will be received by our hosts, upon arrival we will be offered welcome drinks.
• At 12:00 pm we will set sail and cruise on the backwaters.
• We will be cruising through R-Block canal and cover paddy fields of C-Block.
• At 1:30 pm our hosts will anchor the boat and lunch will be served to you, the boat will remain anchored till 3:00 pm.
• At 3:00 pm we will resume cruising, by this time we may ask for fishing rods from our crew.
• At 4:00 pm we will be served tea and snacks, have a nice warm cup of tea, while you are fishing in the backwaters.
• We will be cruising till 5:30 pm, after which the boat will be anchored.
• Next up we will be taking an evening walk through a village and visiting agricultural farms from 5:30 pm- 6:30 pm.
• At 8:00 pm your dinner will be served, after a feast you may take a warm nap.

Day 2:

• Next day at 8:00 am in the morning, breakfast will be served, we will resume cruising at 8:00 am till 9:00 am.
• The guests will be dropped back to the chosen location in Alleppy at 9:00 am.
