OVERVIEW
Hampi, once the capital of the Vijaynagar Empire and a UNESCO World Heritage Site today,lies scattered over a landscape that leaves you spellbound: heaps of giant boulders perch precariously over miles of undulating terrain, their rusty hues offset by jade-green palm groves, banana plantations and paddy fields, while the azure sky painted with fluffy white cirrus adds to the magical atmosphere.
Vast stretches of boulder-strewn hills make the backdrop of Hampi unique. Dotted around the hills and valleys are 500 plus monuments. Among them are beautiful temples, basements of palaces, remains of aquatic structures, ancient market streets, royal pavilions, bastions, royal platforms, treasury buildings.., the list is practically endless.

ITINERARY

Day 0 :  January 22nd' 2016 
Leave from Bangalore at 10 p.m.

Day 1 :  January 23rd' 2016  
Reach Hampi and check into Homestay / Guesthouse. After breakfast and some rest we leave for our 1st day of our Hampi Tour by 10 a.m. First stop is the Hampi Bazaar, Virupaksha Temple, Hemkuntha Hilltop and Sasivekalu Gnesha. Post lunch we proceed to Monolithic Bull, Achyuta Raya’s Temple, Monolithic Bull and Vittala Temple. Evening we explore the riverside ruins and the gorge of the Tungabhadra River. One can take a Coracle Ride on the River in the evening for a relaxing and fun expereince. Back to the guesthouse after sunset.

Day 2 : January 24th' 2016 
Early morning climb Matanga Hill for the amazing sunrise views and photography and later back to guesthouse for breakfast. After breakfast we explore the Hazara Rama Temple, Royal Enclosure, Elephant Stable, Zenana Enclosure and Queens Bath. Leave by afternoon and reach Bangalore by 10 p.m.
