Detailed Overview:
Tadiyandamol in the language of the Kodavas means “the highest peak”, Hence the name. This peak is located near Virajpet about 30 km from napokulu, adjoining to makutta forest. On this hike, you come across an old palace called the “Nalku Naadu Aramane”. There are about 18 trek routes to the peak. The former being the longest yet the most scenic and the latter being short and straight.
Being the second largest peak in Karnataka it belongs to a group of taller peaks between the Himalayas in the north and Nilgiris in the south. These ranges experience a salubrious climate and habitat a large variety of wildlife including bison’s, tigers, elephants, and variety of birds. The assortment of flora and fauna add to the exquisiteness of the valley. Most of the natural vegetation along the valley is taken over by the plantation owners to grow coffee, pepper, cardamom, and arecanut. The trekking comprises of easy to moderately steep climbs.

- A good pair of trekking shoes which is water resistant
- A water bottle to keep you hydrated
- A personal Medical Kit. Our guide will be equipped with first aid kit.
- Pair of Sunglasses & a hat

Please Note: Leeches are quite common in the Western Ghats and especially in the rainy season. So do not panic. Carry salt & lemon or small sachets of shampoo. Our guide will explain in detail on how to avoid them.
